Marbella Fishing FAQ: Everything You Need to Know
Can we keep the fish we catch?
Yes, you are welcome to keep your catch, provided they meet the minimum legal size and current maritime regulations. Our crew will guide you on which species can be kept and even help you prepare them if you wish to take them to a local restaurant.
Are life jackets and safety gear available?
Safety is our absolute priority. The Blue Marlin is fully equipped with all mandatory safety systems, including life jackets for all ages (including small children), life rafts, EPIRB (radio beacon), radar, and professional first aid kits. We comply with 100% of Spanish maritime safety regulations.
Do you provide food and drinks?
Yes, all our charters include refreshments. We provide water, soft drinks, and beer. Depending on the duration of your trip, we also offer various snacks. For our "Full Day" and "Big Game" sessions, we can arrange premium catering upon request.
Do I need to bring my own fishing license?
No, you don't need to worry about paperwork. We provide all the necessary collective fishing licenses for everyone on board. You just need to show up and enjoy the experience.
Is the boat accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Due to the structural design of our sportfishing vessel (Faeton 11.80) and the nature of boarding in the marina, the boat is unfortunately not adapted for wheelchairs or persons with significant reduced mobility.
What should I bring for the trip?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, a hat, and comfortable deck shoes. If you are prone to seasickness, we suggest taking motion sickness medication 30 minutes before departure to ensure a comfortable journey.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the Captain determines that sea conditions are unsafe for navigation, we will offer to reschedule your trip for the next available date. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund of your deposit will be issued.
Is the trip suitable for children?
Absolutely! We are a family-friendly charter. We have specialized lightweight gear designed specifically for children and teenagers, ensuring they have a fun and successful first fishing experience in Marbella.
